| In 2008, I reconnected with this community through involvement in the Pocosin Arts Folk School and was surprised later this year when coincidentally one of our doc studies lecturers described her oral history project ongoing in this same small town. Her descriptions of the town were so different from my encounters with Columbia that I moved up plans to return to the area. This photo shows one of the buildings that now accompanies the riverwalk shown in the previous slide. | |
