Summer Activities
I've been having a great time volunteering in a little cabin in the woods at the Piedmont Wildlife Center (PWC), located on the old Leigh Farm, which has been converted to a park. Jeff will be joining in to clear the nature trail and may get in a few rounds of disc golf since the trails connect.

PWC has also generously offered ;) to let Jeff and me pick up some twigs from the cut wood at the park to donate, along with steel cans and plastic water bottles, to the Petals with a Purpose project. Arc of Orange art students make gorgeous natural wood vases, fill them with flowers and donate them to Meals on Wheels' clients. The vases will also grace tables at PWC's annual Celebrate Wildlife! Auction and Gala, November 19th at 6:30pm. Whole Foods donates the flowers to Arc of Orange. What a great collaboration!
